                                                                 "Niagara's History is at Oakwood."

The Special Friends of Oakwood Cemetery Committee will hold it's monthly meeting on Monday, February 13 at 4:00 PM in the Oakwood House, 763 Portage Rd., Niagara Falls, NY.  The committee meets on the second Monday of the month for an hour to discuss the volunteer needs of Oakwood.  Whitney Mallam is committee chair and the meeting is open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served and free on-site parking is available..

The purpose of the committee is to enlist volunteer participants who are willing and able to support events and projects authorized by the Oakwood Cemetery Association Board of Directors (501 (c) 13) and the Oakwood Cemetery Heritage Foundation, Inc. (501 (c) 3).

The committee agenda will include the search for volunteers who have a variety of skills to share:  data input; gardening; office procedures; event planning and procedures; and, creative arts.  At this meeting, event volunteers and those with scrap-booking expertise are also encouraged to attend.

If you want to volunteer to support the history of the Niagara Region, please let us know.  For more information and to RSVP, please contact: Trudy Christman, committee co-chair:  (716) 946-3196 or go to
